The building complex involved in the project concerns the replacement of existing buildings in the industrial complex (formerly Fornaci di Poggi Gialli) with buildings for production/craft use. The project involves the demolition of part of the buildings that make up the original building complex and the subsequent reconstruction (with additional volume) of two buildings for production/craft use. Each building in the project, mainly on a single floor, is intended for production/craft use, with an area for service rooms (offices and toilets) distributed over two floors. The typological and constructional characteristics will be those typical of industrial buildings, with particular attention paid to the use of materials and colours to define the envelope and roofing in accordance with sustainable building guidelines, as well as the recovery of rainwater from the roof, which will be collected in underground tanks and reused for appropriate purposes. The use of alternative energy sources is planned, in particular with the use of photovoltaic panels on the roof. The building will be constructed using a prefabricated frame structure with vertical infill partitions. The façades will be punctuated by openings and windows. The flat roof, constructed using a shed system and skylights, will be bordered by a perimeter veil and a parapet (for fall protection purposes). The external fixtures will be made of metal/PVC.
